Listen And You’ll Hear

Today, with the advancement of technology, and with the stress at work, home and life, and with all distracting things which are happening around us, we tend not to listen. And I do not mean listening with your ears, but with your HEART.

One of the hardest thing to do is learning to listen.

You will probably find it difficult to quiet your distracting thoughts enough to hear God's voice. One of the good way to begin hearing Him speak is through daily reading of the scriptures. It is an excellent way to listen -- and often the result is unexpected answers to some of your questions.

PRAY and your prayers will be answered. It doesn’t necessary come from words of God, but if we listen with our heart, you’ll know very well that God answers your prayers.

When you have found others who also believe in Jesus, join with them to pray. Hearing others express their hearts to the Lord is a great catalyst to the growth of your own faith. You will soon find yourself looking forward to those times together.

Most important of all, remember that prayer is continual conversation with the One you are learning to love and trust. Just looking up into the sky and smiling at Him or giving your own hand a squeeze -- as if holding the Lord's hand -- can bring you right back into the closeness you need with Him at that moment.

Pray and it’ll be answered. Listen and you’ll hear. Feel and you’ll be touched.

An Inspiring Story

I want to share a short story with all who visits my blog. Though I know they are not many, but I know by the little who has come here, I still want to share this story.

Notice the Beautiful Things

I had a very special teacher in high school many years ago whose husband unexpectedly died suddenly of a heart attack. About a week after his death, she shared some of her insight with a classroom of students.

As the late afternoon sunlight came streaming in through the classroom windows and the class was nearly over, she moved a few things aside on the edge of her desk and sat down there.

With a gentle look of reflection on her face, she paused and said, "Before class is over, I would like to share with all of you a thought that is unrelated to class, but which I feel is very important.
Each of us is put here on earth to learn, share, love, appreciate and give of ourselves. None of us knows when this fantastic experience will end. It can be taken away at any moment.

Perhaps this is God's way of telling us that we must make the most out of every single day."

Her eyes beginning to water, she went on, "So I would like you all to make me a promise. From now on, on your way to school, or on your way home, find something beautiful to notice. It doesn't have to be something you see - it could be a scent-perhaps of freshly baked bread wafting out of someone's house, or it could be the sound of the breeze slightly rustling the leaves in the trees, or the way the morning light catches one autumn leaf as it falls gently to the ground.

Please look for these things, and cherish them. For, although it may sound trite to some, these things are the "stuff" of life. The little things we are put here on earth to enjoy. The things we often take for granted. We must make it important to notice them, for at any time... it can all be taken away."

The class was completely quiet. We all picked up our books and filed out of the room silently. That afternoon, I noticed more things on my way home from school than I had that whole semester. Every once in a while, I think of that teacher and remember what an impression she made on all of us, and I try to appreciate all of those things that sometimes we all overlook.

Take notice of something special you see on your lunch hour today. Go barefoot. Or walk on the beach at sunset. Stop off on the way home tonight to get a double-dip ice cream cone. For as we get older, it is not the things we did that we often regret, but the things we didn't do.

The Pastor and his son

Something worth sharing

A good reminder of God's Love.

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts. This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain.

The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, 'OK, dad, I'm ready.'

His Pastor dad asked, 'Ready for what?' 'Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out.' Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain.'

The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?'

Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather.' Despondently, the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go? Please?' His father hesitated for a moment then said, 'Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son.' 'Thanks Dad!'

And with that, he was off and out into the rain. his eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract.

After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted. Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.

Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again and this time the door slowly opened.

Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?'

With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE.'

With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. 'Thank you, son! And God Bless You!'

Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, 'Does anybody have any testimony or want to say anything?' Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face,

'No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world.

Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live. So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck.

Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.'

I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.'

I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder. When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you!

The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, 'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU.'

Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand. As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more.

You see---I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell.'

There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated. He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son... Except for One. Our Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honor to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named.

Blessed are your eyes for reading this message. Don't let this message die, read it again and pass it to others.

Heaven is for His people! Remember, God's message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you.

Please share this wonderful message...

Think & Ponder

Suppose as you were walking in a dense forest, you strayed off the path and lost your way. Night falls and it becomes dark and cold. You have no food or water. Danger lurks from forest animals. You frantically stumble ahead in the darkness, with no sense of direction. Fear gnaws at you: "I may never make it back to safety."

Just as all hope is fading, your frantic eyes see a dim light in the distance. Suddenly you realize, "Someone is searching for me!" The light grows brighter. It's coming your way. You call out, "Here I am!" The reply comes back: "Keep calling!" Moments later your rescuer appears in the unmistakable uniform of a forest ranger -- one who knows the deep woods and the way home. By the dim light, you study his kind and fatherly face. Steadily he leads you back. As the ranger delivers you to your doorstep, he says, "You're safe now." In sheer relief you respond in the only way you can -- with profound gratitude. "How can I ever repay you?" you ask, knowing no payment could ever suffice.

Should this have been your spiritual being, who will be the uniformed forest ranger be? Where will you find Him?

How Do U Spend Ur 86,400

Just received an email from a friend, and after reading it, thought it’s worth sharing with my friends (*bet we’ve never thought we worth so much) Winking smile

Interesting concept, and so true.........

Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest:

Each morning your bank will deposit $86,400.00 in your private account
for your use.  However, this prize comes with rules just like any game has certain rules.

The first set of rules would be:

1.  The money that you do not spend during each day would be taken
away from you.
2. You may not simply transfer money into some other account.
3. You may only spend it.

Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400.00 for that day.

The second set of rules:

1. The bank can end the game without warning.  At any time it can say,
“It’s over, the game is over!”
2. It can close the account and you will not receive a new one.

What would you personally do?

You would buy anything and everything you wanted, right?

Not only for yourself, but for all the people you love and your
friends as well, right?

Even for people you don’t know, because you couldn’t possibly spend it
all on yourself, right?

You would try to spend every cent, and use it all, right?

ACTUALLY, THIS GAME IS LIFE!!

Each of us is in possession of such a “magical” bank.

We just can’t seem to see it.

THE MAGICAL BANK IS TIME!

Each awakening morning we receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life,
and when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time is NOT credited
to us.

What we haven’t lived up to that day is forever lost.

Yesterday is forever gone.

Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can dissolve your
account at any time…….

WITHOUT WARNING.

WELL, what would you do with your 86,400 seconds?

Aren’t they worth so much more than the same amount in dollars?

Think about that, and always think of this:

Enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than you think.

So take care of yourself, and enjoy life with your loved ones & friends as well!

Here’s wishing you a wonderful beautiful day!!!

It is easier to criticize, but DIFFICULT TO IMPROVE!

This is a good one I'v read. Hopefully all u people out there dont think what i read is crap... haha

"Once upon a time there was a painter who had just completed his course. He took 3 days and painted beautiful scenery. He wanted people's opinion about his caliber and painting skills.

He put his creation at a busy street-crossing. And just down below a board which read -"I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake."

While he came back in the evening to collect his painting he was completely shattered to see that whole canvass was filled with Xs (crosses) and some people had even written their comments on the painting.

Disheartened and broken completely he ran to his master's place and burst into tears.

This young artist was breathing heavily and master heard him saying"I'm useless and if this is what I have learnt to paint I'm not worth becoming a painter. People have rejected me completely. I feel like dying"

Master smiled and suggested "My Son, I will prove that you are a great artist and have learnt flawless painting. Do as I say without questioning it. It WILL work."

Young artist reluctantly agreed and two days later early morning he presented a replica of his earlier painting to his master. Master took that gracefully and smiled.

"Come with me." master said.

They reached the same street-square early morning and displayed the same painting exactly at the same place. Now master took out another board which read -"Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. I have put a box with colors and brushes just below. Please do a favor. If you see a mistake, kindly pick up the brush and correct it."

Master and disciple walked back home.

They both visited the place same evening. Young painter was surprised to see that actually there was not a single correction done so far. Next day again they visited and found painting remained untouched. They say the painting was kept there for a month for no correction came in!

Moral of the story:

It is easier to criticize, but DIFFICULT TO IMPROVE!

So don't get carried away or judge yourself by someone else’s criticism and feel depressed...

JUDGE YOURSELF! YOU ARE YOUR BEST JUDGE!!!"

A Dilemma

I trust that up till today, this moment, this minute, every one of us would have been put or faced with situation where you do not wish or do not want to be in that position or even to be the person with that kind of authority, to decide and make a call and put in action certain thing that happened around you.

And I think most of you reading here will unconsciously nodding your heads hehehe  Smile with tongue out

But this is a real story which I have heard and I was dumbfounded when this friend of mine was willing to share this little secret of his life.

Ok, this is how it goes.

Imagine that you are at the stage of your career in an educational institution where you’ve been well recognised by the senior management of your company.  But one fine day, one of your senior directors came to tell you that:

SD: Hey, we hv got a situation here.

You: Umm-Hmmm. What is it?

SD: You see. One of our students, NAME, who is the son of the President of XXX (country).  But yesterday, he had invited one of his friends, a lady, for a drink in a pub.  And after the drink, they went up to the roof of the pub for a chat.

I think the boy was a bit of drunk, and started molesting the girl, and then sexually assaulted her.  Now the girl is in my office, crying and traumatised by the incident.

You: (Obviously shocked by the incident) What!? We gotto lodge a police report!

SD: No. You see. The boy is the son of the President of XXX (country). And we have a very good relationship with the country and also every year, they send lots of students here.  I want you to take charge of this case and “settle” this case.

This is the situation. What are you gonna do? There are 2 ways to handle this situation.

1) Take the girl to the nearest police station, and make a report against this boy.  And face the consequence of being sidelined by your senior management, and certainly there goes the prospect of your career.

2) Go into your SD’s office. Sit the girl down and convince her that she consented to what that had happened on the roof. And tell her that there is no chance of her winning the case since there is consent to that incident. And you will be highly regarded by the senior management of your company, and very quickly you’ll get promoted to a senior position with a fat pay cheque.

How would you handle this?

Damn… I’m getting old, man. Need people to help me decide on trivial matter like this. hahahahaha  Smile

Some Random Crap

People used to tell me that since I’m a XXX graduate, I should be doing something that is related to what I’v been taught n not doing IT thing. Patching, updating, bla bla bla…

So when the opportunity comes, I jumped into it without much thinking. Now it’s been almost a yr since d day I jumped into this sea of highly educated people (but can’t think bcos they’v got no brain). It’s d day I decided to jump, but no body came to tell me “U jump, I jump” like what Leo told Kate… Smile with tongue out

Well, back to my crappy post here again. Hmmm… *scratching head. Where’d I stop? Oh! Ya. “U jump, I jump”, huh?

So what happen after almost a year here? *shake head My boss decided to take away my ‘decision making right’ but all matters gotto come to me for authority n decision. Ironic, isn’t it?

Then, he decided to take up more into his plate than the one he can swallow, n drag me along into his pile of crap too.

But, now that he has been relief of that pile of crap, people come telling me, or may b they assume that, my life here will b much easier since he will b taking back some of d load I’m carrying.

Hell, NO! Now he’s so damn f*****g free, he’s poking his nose of everything I do. And worse is he’s too free that he’s replying emails to all other people that I’m d person 2 do his work n his favorite line is, ‘I’ll hv d final vetting n will decide’

WTF!!! This is like U (man, intended) tell ur wifey, “There. Here’s my c*ck. U go f**k urself n I’ll see later whether to lump a load on U”

What an arsehole!

Just don’t feel like seeing that fella. Wat d hell!!!

Btw, I work 4 $$$. If U wan loyalty, go hire a f*****g DOG!

Drive Carefully. Think With Your Heart.

Came across this clip and it's indeed very sad if we are careless and ignorant of the fact that people's life are at stake due to our carelessness. Think about your family, loved ones, friends, and others.
