How To Maintain A Relationship?

There is a saying that to maintain a happy marriage, it's simply "never let a day go by that you don't let your beloved know how much you appreciate them and care for them"

However, more often than not, we tend to take for granted our 'significant half' and think that he/she "know", "should know", "must know" and "understand" your love for them, after a length of time. We tend to forget that we need to enkindle the 'fire' or 'spark' of love between you and your partner.

You may say there are so many distraction, so many chores, so many work to do that you do not have time to even think about this. And your partner should understand this. You might think that with the tight schedule of work you are having, coming home late is excusable. You might also think that your partner should understand when you throw tantrum all the time since you are bogged down with loads of work and chores. You think that it's 'okay' that you raise your voice against your partner over some minute matter which doesn't have any significant value. "Pressure" or "Tired", you claimed.

You might also think that sexual intimacy is not important anymore because it is not the most important thing in your mind now since you need to concentrate on your toddler. "He/She should be able to see it that I am busy and tired after a long day work. And then I have to take care of our baby", you said. "Where can we find time together when our baby needs full-time, 24/7, attention and care", you explained.

Where were the times when both of you go for a stroll, hand-in-hand, in the park? Where were the times when you spend romantic candle light dinner together? Where were the times when you have pillow fight with your partner? Where were the times where, on your bed, you turn over to him/her and say "Honey, let's get naughty"?

Where have all these gone?

Realizing this, you should try to make good your marriage relationship, and there are so many things that you can do. Your friends might tell you, "U shud talk to ur partner n make things out". Besides talking, you should also treat your spouse sincerely. It is important that you should treat your partner with considerable honesty, sincerity and kindness. Besides being your spouse, he/she is an individual with his or her own personality. Let's have the situation reversed. Would you like to be treated the way you treat your spouse?

Nobody wants to be belittled or put down all the time. However this is the fact in some marriage since their marriage life turns into focusing on the negative aspects of each other. This can really frustrate your spouse when it comes. We should recognise what your partner does well and comment only on the positive. Always appreciate his/her best qualities. Your partner may not possess all the best qualities but you should praise and appreciate the positive attributes of your spouse. A glass half empty, is also half full.

You should have realistic expectations from your spouse and your marriage. Many of us have this unrealistic expectation that we want our partner to be a perfect person. However, you need to understand that every human being is different and they may not meet or want to meet your expectations of 'being perfect'.

Spend quality time together. Make a conscious effort to plan "we time", not just "me time". Spend time together doing some activities that you mutually interested. Plan for a walk in the park every week, if not everyday. Do something nice for him/her on special occasions.

It's easy to Fall In Love, however it needs time and effort to Maintain A Relationship and Marriage.

Doctors: Who Is Easier To Operate?

Five surgeons are discussing who has the best patients to operate on. The first surgeon says, 'I like to see Accountants on my operating table because when you open them up. Everything inside is numbered.'

The second responds, 'Yeah, but you should try Electricians! Everything inside them is color-coded. ' The third surgeon says, 'No, I really think librarians are the best; Everything inside them is in alphabetical order.' The fourth surgeon chimes in, 'You know I like construction workers. Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over at the end, and when the job takes longer than you said it would.'

But the fifth surgeon shut them all up when he observed, 'You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine, and there are only two moving parts - the mouth and the asshole - and they are interchangeable. '

Sure Or Not...!!!

I am feeling very uneasy n quite apprehensive when i read that the cabinet "decided there will be no more increase (in petrol price) this year"

Fuel price increases capped

PUTRAJAYA: There will be no further increase to the price of fuel in the country this year. This is despite the possibility of the global price of oil reaching US$200 (RM654) per barrel, as forecast by some analysts.

This latest decision by the Cabinet came on top of various measures announced on Monday to help the Government cut costs and channel more subsidies to low-income earners.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said to stem any more increase, the Government would have to think of alternative ways to finance its spending.

“Since the Government announced the new price last week, fuel prices have gone up to US$139 per barrel and is still hovering at US$130.

“In fact, the price of oil is expected to remain at high levels in the months to come. The high price of oil means that the market price of petrol at the pumps have now reached RM3.45 per litre,” he said, pointing out that the price should be reviewed to RM3.15 per litre (with a discount of 30 sen) instead of RM2.70 beginning next month.

“However, the Government realised that the rakyat is still trying to adapt to the higher petrol prices. The Cabinet has thus decided there will be no more increase this year,” he told reporters at his office yesterday.

If the global price of petrol should ever drop, Abdullah said the Government would make the necessary adjustments with the 30 sen discount still being given.

When announcing the new petrol price on June 4, Abdullah had said that prices at the petrol pump would be adjusted monthly to reflect the global market price.

The current price for petrol is RM2.70 per litre while diesel is sold at RM2.58 per litre, following an increase of 78 sen and RM1 per litre respectively last week.

Abdullah said it had also been decided that the more than one million civil servants would receive their salaries fortnightly effective August.

“The first instalment will be in the middle of the month while the second will be at the end of the month. Deductions such as income tax and Employees’ Provident Fund will be made from the second instalment.”

~ end ~

Lets take a look here. What happen to the manifesto, pledge or promise before the last general election? But when the global price reaches USD$130 or so, those learned 'analyst' out there said that it is not possible but to hike up the fuel price from our comfortable RM1.92 per liter, otherwise it will be a heavy burden for the country to subsidize the people. Some even said that the country will be running on deficit should the petrol price increase again n the government still subsidizes the people.

So now the cabinet decided that there will be no increase of fuel price here for this year despite the forecast by some analysts of the possibility of the global petrol price reaching USD$200 per barrel.

What if this "possibility" realizes next month? I mean what happen if in reality the global petrol price really reaches USD$200 per barrel?

William Shakespeare's Hamlet, he wrote "
To be, or not to be, that is the Question:" Will our beloved n learned cabinet ministers might need to think
"To Raise or Not To Raise, that is the Question:"

You have given your pledge n promise that there will be no increase in petrol price in this country for this year. Will you go back on your words? Will you increase the petrol price from now RM2.70 higher despite whatever said n promised?

p.s. this is a rant by an ordinary citizen who is trying to make ends meet with his meager monthly pay check

Time For Prudent Spending? Over My Arse!!!

The time has come! The big topic, like i've said, the petrol price gonna go sky rocket!

Here n there we hear unhappy people, young n old, employed n self-employed, with the hot 'debate' on the price hike. On the other hand, we read 'advices' by those learned ministers. Change ur lifestyle. Be thrifty. Spend prudently.

The issue here is not that we r being spendthrift, or wasteful. We r not see-too-peed people. It's our MONEY that u people r talking about. We know how to spend! N mind u, there r many of us out here r trying very hard to survive with the meager income that we have.

Let's take out ur calculator n do a little calculation! Start now! Take the average monthly salary that a person gets. N then start to minus. Petrol!

Subsidy?? R u joking? i don't wanna go there, otherwise, this will b a very very long page...

Then comes the electricity bill... blardy going up too!!! So it's gonna b another burden being dropped to the already burdened people here.

Becos of this, i see there's a chain reaction that will b triggered. Petrol increase. Transportation cost increase, meaning public transport fee will increase, food n other transportation costs increase. Then food price increase. Then ... ... ... ... ... & ... INCREASE!

I reckon u havent finished with ur calculation rite....!? Do u need a 12-digit calculator for this?

Eh!!! I havent talk about those "un-prudent" spending that u "advise" us to stop, u noe!!

Everything is going up... except our salary!!!

Safe Haven No More

U hv been staying in dat place, dat area for so long n never once there hv been any crime that happened. So as ur neighbors, who live there for many many years, say.

Going home is like going back to a safe haven where u can get a piece of mind, n relax after a hectic day of work or exercise. Dis area were so safe'd' (notice dat i past-tensed dis word) that u literally know each n every one of ur neighbor. No outsider is able 2 come in, safe for some special reasons.

But now. It is a safe haven no more!

My lovely n quiet abode has been 'violated'. It was broken in. Though not much that the burglar managed to take from my house, but he/they had made a mess out of it. N best of all, dis incident has left a very bad psychological effect on us, me n my wife.

We will always be worried about our house everywhere we go. Though consciously we tell ourselves that it's safe now, don't worry too much. But deep inside, we are still worried! Thinking that we should go back n check on our house.

My safe haven is not 'safe' no more!

In ur 'safe haven', u slept soundly everynite knowing that nothing 'bad' will happen around here. Not even petty theft. Nobody steals shoes. Never a bicycle lost. Never happened!

BUT now it happened. Not petty theft! It the BIG THING! It was a burglary. In a day, it happened to 2 houses, n one of which is mine!

Can i sleep well at nite? What will b going on in my mind every hour of the day? Every minute? Every second?

My safe haven is not 'safe' no more!

Petrol Price Gonna Go Sky Rocket

IT is all over the place now! Everybody is talking about IT now! At home. At work. In the market. In the coffee shop/kopi-tiam. EVERYWHERE!!!

What Is IT!!?

The petrol price here gonna b let to follow the "open market" n there will b no fuel subsidy anymore. So from our considerably low petrol price that we have been enjoying, now we gotto b paying thru our nose for the petrol we use.

Yeah... yeah... many people will say "hey!! while U were happily enjoying ur low petrol price in ur country, others in another country dont get to enjoy, U noe!"

Tis is true. We might hv been too "pampered" now that tis news on the petrol price increase comes as a BAD BAD BAD news to all of us. Imagine tis. Now dat wit all dis advance technology like computer, internet, mms, sms, n bla bla bla, it is harder n harder for all of us to meet each other like the good ol'days, where we come out once in a while to meet n catch up on things. N now that the petrol price gonna shoot sky rocket, i can imagine everyone gonna say "no lar... it's too far. Dun wanna drive ler... petrol expensive lar..."

But hey!! let's look at the bright side. There'll b lesser accident if everybody dun wanna drive so much, rite... (i hope) hahahahhahaha
