Tol Fees Increase Again!

Today marks yet another day where it clearly shows that the current government under the leadership of our Prime Minister has failed. So many things happening lately where us, the citizen, are not happy. Death of a Cambodian lady, 1MDB scandal, billions & billions going into personal account of the PM, Ministers openly supporting the Red Shirt Demonstration which clearly is racial based, Ministers condemning the Bersih peaceful assembly, termination of Ministers and Public Officers, etc.

Now. Economy crisis. The value of our Ringgit is still falling, if not volatile. GST. And despite those, now the tol fee hike.

What is our government doing? Where is the justice? Are those corrupt Ministers going to be put behind bars?

Yellow is the new White

Seems like it is unavoidable. Bersih 4 is just around the corner 29 & 30 August 2015 will mark the days in the history of Malaysia where massive gathering of Malaysian in record will come out to the street to demand for fairness in the electoral process, and above all the stepping down of our PM Najib.

Accusations and allegations of corruption - 1MDB, 2.6 bil etc.

Just a couple of days before our Merdeka Day.

Are you ready?

What's gonna come after that?

Work-Life Balance

I reckon that this is what every employee wants while in their working life.

8:30 am to 5:30 pm or 9 am to 6 pm.
Leave office sharp after work.
Go partying with your gang for happy hour till 9 pm.

This is of course the idealist kinda way to explain our work-life balance, ain't it?

But for family man like me, work-life balance could be different. Or should I say, is there work-life balance?

8:30 am to 5:30 pm or 9 am to 6 pm (no choice - bcos have to feed few mouths in the family)
Leave office sharp after work (also no choice)
Instead of go partying, we go back home to start our life (work) balance once again, eg. taking care of the kiddos, washing (which bound to have something to wash), cleaning.

For me, work-life balance doesn't mean that you have to go partying after work for happy-hour. Even though the 2nd example which I gave above is also part of work-life balance. Just that it seems to be a continuation of "work" in a different sense.

For a family man or woman, with kids especially, life is the fulfillment of our duty towards our children. Seeing them taken care of. Eaten well. Sleeping soundly. Live healthily.

That is "life" despite the fact that we "work" our arse through the night after 6pm, and not having the spare time to spend for partying with our friends.

Hmmm... hopefully when my kids grow up, my wifey and I will have more time to ourselves, so that we can go partying with our joints making loads of cracking sounds... hahaha

I'm Back

Wow...! Time has really flown pass us.

It felt just like yesterday when I posted my last in March, 2 years ago. It was a mere 4 months before it all happened.

18 July 2013.

Will never forget this date for my entire life! This day has changed a man from being a proud, taking the f**k all to himself, heavy smoking, drinking, womanizing (not..!) etc to another, though not much different in terms of appearance (still that handsome, I supposed) *pun intended

This was the day where I had a heart attack. The day where I was rushed into the A&E of the hospital, in a state of pain at my jaw down to my left shoulder and hand. A day where the doctor came in and performed an ultrasound to reveal that half of my heart had stopped while the other half was trying very very hard to sustain this worthless man with blood. A day where I was pushed into the operating room at 7am or die if the doctor waited longer. A day that changed my life.

I know that I'm going to re-tell this over and over again to my children (& hopefully they will want to hear me telling this after a couple of times)

And now. I'm back again. After 2 years. Writing as a different person. An easy going, who doesn't take the f**king whole world to himself thinking he can manage. "How stupid I was" I always think.

Now that things are different, I'll be enjoying my newly "borrowed" life to good use, and not waste it on unnecessary nonsense.

I'll be writing again. Or at least I suppose I will.

More will come.

Wait.
