The Three Trees

This is really good… A must read.

The Three Trees

Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up.

The first little tree looked up at the stars and said: "I want to hold treasure. I want to be covered with gold and filled with precious stones. I'll be the most beautiful treasure chest in the world!"

The second little tree looked out at the small stream trickling by on it's way to the ocean. "I want to be traveling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I'll be the strongest ship in the world!"

The third little tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in a busy town. "I don't want to leave the mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people stop to look at me, they'll raise their eyes to heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world."

Years passed.  The rain came, the sun shone, and the little trees grew tall.

One day three woodcutters climbed the mountain.

The first woodcutter looked at the first tree and said, "This tree is beautiful. It is perfect for me." With a swoop of his ax, the first tree fell. "Now I shall be made into a beautiful chest, I shall hold wonderful treasure!" The first tree said.

The second woodcutter looked at the second tree and said, "This tree is strong. It is perfect for me." With a swoop of his ax, the second tree fell. "Now I shall sail mighty waters!" thought the second tree. "I shall be a strong ship for mighty kings!"

The third tree felt her heart sink when the last woodcutter looked her way. She stood straight and tall and pointed bravely to heaven. But the woodcutter never even looked up. "Any kind of tree will do for me," he muttered. With a swoop of his ax, the third tree fell.

The first tree rejoiced when the woodcutter brought her to a carpenter's shop. But the carpenter fashioned the tree into a feedbox for animals. The once beautiful tree was not covered with gold, nor with treasure. She was coated with saw dust and filled with hay for hungry farm animals.

The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took her to a shipyard, but no mighty sailing ship was made that day. Instead the once strong tree was hammered and sawed into a simple fishing boat. She was too small and too weak to sail to an ocean, or even a river. Instead she was taken to a little lake.

The third tree was confused when the woodcutter cut her into strong beams and left her in a lumberyard. "What happened?" The once tall tree wondered. "All I ever wanted was to stay on the mountain top and point to God..."

Many, many days and night passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams. But one night, golden starlight poured over the first tree as a young woman placed her newborn baby in the feedbox. "I wish I could make a cradle for him." her husband whispered.

The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth and the sturdy wood. "This manger is beautiful." she said. And suddenly the first tree knew he was holding the greatest treasure in the world.

One evening a tired traveler and his friends crowded into the old fishing boat. The traveler fell asleep as the second tree quietly sailed out into the lake. Soon a thundering and thrashing storm arose. The little tree shuddered.

She knew she did not have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through with the wind and the rain. The tired man awakened. He stood up, stretched out his hand, and said, "Peace." The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun. And suddenly the second tree knew she was carrying the king of heaven and earth.

One Friday morning, the third tree was startled when her beams were yanked from the forgotten woodpile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry jeering crowd. She shuddered when soldiers nailed a man's hands to her. She felt ugly and harsh and cruel.

But on Sunday morning, when the sun rose and the earth trembled with joy beneath her, the third tree knew that God's love had changed everything.

It had made the third tree strong. And every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God. That was better than being the tallest tree in the world.

The next time you feel down because you didn't get what you want, sit tight and be happy because God is thinking of something better to give you.

Just Five More Minutes

The story below is so true. We always regret when something bad happened, and then when we look back, it was the 5 more minutes.

While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.  "That's my son over there," she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.

"He's a fine looking boy" the man said. "That's my daughter on the bike in the white dress."  Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter. "What do you say we go, Melissa?"

Melissa pleaded, "Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes."  The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike to her heart's content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. '"Time to go now?"

Again Melissa pleaded, "Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes."

The man smiled and said, "OK."

"My, you certainly are a patient father," the woman responded.

The man smiled and then said, "Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I'd give anything for just five more minutes with him. I've vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa.

She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play."

Life is all about making priorities, what are your priorities?

Give someone you love 5 more minutes of your time today!

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

It’s been a particularly tiring day today, after all that happened this 1+ week. Lost of things, police stations, police stations and police stations! Then lawyer’s office.

And, last nite I read an article sent thru one of my subscription “Why Can’t I Find God?” And I think God is trying to tell me a message from there.

And to my amazement, I received an email from a very senior man whom I respect very much, Mr. Chellappan. And though I know God always hears and answers my prayers, now I know that God is with me and he is speaking to me everyday, through many ways.

Please read the below excerpt sent by my friend:

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

*Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on ground.* *The man slowly looked up.

**

**This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life. **

**His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.. "Leave me alone," he growled..... **

To his amazement, the woman continued standing.

**She was smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. "Are you hungry?" she asked. **

**"No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president.. Now go away." **

**The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm. **

**"What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone.

**

**Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked.. *

*

**"No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?" **

**The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?"

**

**"See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile." **

**"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up. "Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything."* *" This is a good deal for you, Jack" the officer answered. "Don't blow it.."

**

**Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived...

**

**The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. "What's going on here, officer?" he asked. "What is all this, is this man in trouble?" **

**"This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered. **

**"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business.." **

**Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place." **

**The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled....... "Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?" **

**"Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms." **

**"And do you make a godly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?" **

**"What business is that of yours?" **

**I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company." **

**"Oh." **

**The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a difference." She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. "Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?" **

**"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty." **

**"Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?"* *"Yes, maam. That would be very nice.." **

**The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer." **

**The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place,"

he said. **

**"That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this."

**

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.. "Jack, do you remember me?"

**

**Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."

**

**"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry." **

**"Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.**

**"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat." **

**Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said.. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy." **

**"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble... Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right." **

"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said. **

**"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her purse and pulled out a business card.. "When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons...He's the personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around the office." She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet... If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you." **

**There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you?" he

said.*

*"Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. Thank God...... He led me to you." **

**Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways....

**

**"Thank you for all your help, officer," she said. **

**"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the

coffee."*

*! **

God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor.

**If you believe, send it.

If you don't believe, delete it. **

**God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close.. ** **If you need God to open some doors for you...send this on.**

**Have a blessed day and remember to be a blessing...* *LIVE WELL, LOVE MUCH, LAUGH OFTEN*

Hope Our Hospital Staff Doesn't End Up Like Tis

I really hope that our hospital staff won't end up like this fella when our hospital opens in the future. It's gonna be a classic if it happens... I'll b d 1st to fly down there & congratulate him kekeke

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.

After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.

On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.

'I don't know,' he said.

'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.

'

I Wanna Grow Old Like This ;p

This one is really good... i wanna grow old like this.. though it's kinda weird, but wat da heck. enjoy ur life.

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember ..

Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. 'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks.

'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'

'Sure..'

'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.

'No, I can remember it..'

'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so as not to forget it?' He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'

'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks.

Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'

Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.. She stares at the plate for a moment.

'Where's my toast ?'

What Goes Around, Comes Around

It has been a particularly busy day today, with loads of thing to clear on my table… plus with all the phone calls coming in from different people with various ‘problems’… and many emails to clear, read, respond to…  “gawsh… I was thinking to myself. What a start of a day” but one particular email that just came attracted my attention as the heading doesn’t seem to be the usual ones. It says “What Goes Around Comes Around”.

Though it’s an email which I think many would have received and read many times before, but it’s worth reading it again. It’ll definitely touch your heart.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND...

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she looked worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tyre, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two.. Soon he was able to change the tyre. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.

Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps.

The whole scene was unfamiliar to her.

The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger.

Then she remembered Bryan .. After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back.

The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.' Under the napkin were four more $100.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day.

That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written.

How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

There is an old saying... 'What goes around comes around.'

Today I send you this story, and I'm asking you to pass it on.

Let this light shine.

God works in mysterious ways and sometimes puts people in our lives for a reason.

Don't delete it, don't return it...

Simply, pass this on to a friend, i just did...

It is easier to criticize, but DIFFICULT TO IMPROVE!

This is a good one I'v read. Hopefully all u people out there dont think what i read is crap... haha

"Once upon a time there was a painter who had just completed his course. He took 3 days and painted beautiful scenery. He wanted people's opinion about his caliber and painting skills.

He put his creation at a busy street-crossing. And just down below a board which read -"I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake."

While he came back in the evening to collect his painting he was completely shattered to see that whole canvass was filled with Xs (crosses) and some people had even written their comments on the painting.

Disheartened and broken completely he ran to his master's place and burst into tears.

This young artist was breathing heavily and master heard him saying"I'm useless and if this is what I have learnt to paint I'm not worth becoming a painter. People have rejected me completely. I feel like dying"

Master smiled and suggested "My Son, I will prove that you are a great artist and have learnt flawless painting. Do as I say without questioning it. It WILL work."

Young artist reluctantly agreed and two days later early morning he presented a replica of his earlier painting to his master. Master took that gracefully and smiled.

"Come with me." master said.

They reached the same street-square early morning and displayed the same painting exactly at the same place. Now master took out another board which read -"Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. I have put a box with colors and brushes just below. Please do a favor. If you see a mistake, kindly pick up the brush and correct it."

Master and disciple walked back home.

They both visited the place same evening. Young painter was surprised to see that actually there was not a single correction done so far. Next day again they visited and found painting remained untouched. They say the painting was kept there for a month for no correction came in!

Moral of the story:

It is easier to criticize, but DIFFICULT TO IMPROVE!

So don't get carried away or judge yourself by someone else’s criticism and feel depressed...

JUDGE YOURSELF! YOU ARE YOUR BEST JUDGE!!!"

Attitudes

The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace from that day.

We cannot change our past, we cannot change the fact that people will act in certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing that we can do is play on the one string that we have and this string is, Attitude. I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it.

And so it is with you....We are in charge of our Attitudes.

Life is all about Survival!

Has anyone personally had a real-life experience where u got urself into trouble just bcos u wanna help someone close to u? I have had heard loads of those. Wife got into prostitution to pay for hubby's debts. Man went bankrupt for defunct partnership with girlfriend, etc.

But now it is really happening right in front of my eyes. This woman got herself into so much debts that banks keep calling her to pay her outstanding amount n she gotto cash-out more money using her credit cards to pay for her debts. All bcos of her brother!

This story gotto start around 2 yrs ago. They were a very good n close knit family where all the family expenses r shared amongst the siblings, n since they were staying in a fully paid-up house, therefore they got nothing to worry about paying the bank loan repayment for their house. But thing has made a 3600 turn about 2 years ago when the elder sister managed to persuade her parents n siblings to move to another house, very much bigger n more expensive.

There started her trouble. With her brother's n sister's salary r so low, she practically gotto help pay out for most of the new house repayment while waiting for her brother n sister to give the money back to her. To make the matter worse, they went on to get a brand new car after selling off their old Nissan Serena, which was also fully paid at that time.

So now, what has happen? Shit has hit the fan!

Banks keep calling her to pay for the outstanding debts as she has already defaulted for a couple of months, as she can't even manage to pay for the minimum payment for the cards. Although her brother n sister do give her some money to "pay" for whatever installment for the house n car, but those money is not even enough to cover half of the repayment amount. And we have not even mention the money they gotto spend for food for the family, the kids n parents.

Today, i heard that she went to her bank to cash-out some money using her credit card. Guess what the money is being used for? To pay the debts of her credit cards!

Damn!!! As we all know, banks will charge a very high interest rate on money cashed out using credit cards. But now she has "got no other choice" but to do that. N she is putting her legs deeper into the "pile of shit"

All these happen just bcos of one thing. Just bcos he is ur brother. Just bcos ur sister can't make ends meet by her meager salary. Just bcos u wanna protect ur brother n sister. And u r not willing to "force" n "chase" them for money. So now, u r getting into big pile of shit urself. U r cracking ur head to figure out how the hell u gonna clean up that load of shit, since ur brother n sister couldn't give u enough money to even cover their own share.

"Life is All About Survival" U alone can't b a hero n help others while u r not in any good state whatsoever. So it's high time that u take some action to get back those money that u help pay for them, n let them know that u r not much different compared to them. U r not their "money tree"! I can bet my last penny, they r not gonna thank u for helping. Why? It's bcos they r so used to it already! "Sis is there to cover, no worries"

Even if u get into trouble n even get sued by banks, they will not b able to help a bit. So what u gotto do now is to think of ur own survival. Who's gonna take care of ur children? Who's gonna pay for ur food? Who's gonna pay for u when u get sued for bankruptcy?

Reality Sucks!

There r times when u feel so tired and exhausted, and the first thing that comes to your mind is to get out of what u r doing and head on to somewhere and something that you like to do. But this isn't what the real life offering.

When we were young and living in an imaginary life of ours, we were thinking that when we grow up, we'll have lots of time because we will not be spending most of our time studying and doing homework. Then we'll have lots of money too as we'll be working and not getting just pennies from our parents. We'll have lots of friends too since on average we get to know around 5 - 10 friends a year.. hahaha

But in reality, this doesn't look as good as we thought it can be. Yeah... we grew up... but with those "extra" time that we have, we use them for Over-Time, and house chores since, I presume, most of you working adults will be staying away from your parents... Then how about the "lots of money"? Naahhh... Don't think so. We spent many years in our life trying to get a prestigious certificate and degree, or even masters, but ended up getting paid peanuts by bosses who use the excuse of "economy down-turn". Then with that little that we get, it's as bad as asking money from your parents.

Having lots of friends are good, and if you get to know on average of 5 - 10 new friends in a year, then by the time you get around 35 yrs old, ur friends list will be as long as the Golden Gate bridge... hahaha.. But, there's a problem here.. It's not a problem to make friends on an average of 5 - 10. It's whether you guys are really "friends".

Nowadays, with the introduction of Friendsters, Facebook, and lots of other bla bla bla, there is no problem of making friends. But are those really your friends? I bet they are not. They are just numbers. "See... I've got 250 friends in my friend-list in Facebook" will bring an awe, but do you know them all? Nope... So what happen when you are really needing a true friend? You can't find one! There is nobody around for you to talk to... There is nobody around to comfort you... There is nobody around to give you courage... You are all alone!

This is just another day where you are too free and has got anything better to do and start thinking rubbish hahahaha. Anyway, I want to apologise to all my friends whom I have not been keeping in touch for some time. I really cherrish and appreciate your friendship. You guys always have a special place in my heart. Take care

What Is Hope...

What hope means

Hope is bright shining light which keeps darkness at the bay
Hope is gentle cold breeze on a hot summer day

Hope is to remain positive when going gets tough
hope is seeking more when others think u had enough

What hope means

Hope is dreaming of tommorow
Hope is simmering under sorrow

Hope is sparkles when tears in our eyes
Hope is a beautiful thing & beutiful things never dies

What hope means

Hope is as light as a feather
Hope keeps all of us together

Hope is ubiquitous and free of cost
hope is the last thing ever lost.....

Vineet Bansal

Hope

Sometimes when u find that the world is closing on u and u r at the point of giving up, there will, somewhere, somehow, b a voice telling u "Don't give up. Try it one more time." Sometimes when u find that life has no meaning to live on and u r about to give up, "Don't give up. Try it one more time."

Don't give up! Life isn't as bad as u thing it is. Take a look at the people around u. Take a look at the little boy who is playing by the street with just a pair of torn clothing. Take a look at the old man who is collecting bottles by the rubbish dump. Ain't their life better of than ours? Why r we giving up while others whose life is far worse r still fighting to survive?

As Christopher Reeve quoted, "Once you choose hope, anything's possible." Have faith in yourself! Life isn't as bad as you think!

Go out! Take a walk in the park, alone and listen! Do not listen with your ears for we only listen to what we want to hear! Listen with your heart, for our heart will not lie. Listen carefully. The Lord is great and He loves us unconditionally. Belief that your prayers will be answered and you'll find the answer, the direction.

Six die in dawn crash, co-driver decapitated as guardrail spears bus

RAWANG: Six people were killed and a woman seriously injured when the double-decker express bus they were travelling in skidded and crashed on the North-South Expressway near Rawang yesterday.

The 5am accident at the 442.9nd kilometre of the expressway caused a massive crawl south of the Bukit Beruntung toll plaza as authorities took about four hours to clear the wreckage.

Md Zaher Mohamad, 33, C. Magenthiran, 26, Mohamad Fauzi Awang, 44, Muhammad Ismail, 27, Mohd Yusril Zakaria, 27, and co-driver Zulkhibri Md Saad, 35, all died at the scene.

Wrecked: The guardrail by the side of the NSE pierced the lower deck of the bus, decapitating co-driver Zulkhibri Md Saad in the crash.

The AB Express bus, carrying 34 passengers, was travelling south to Kuala Lumpur from Alor Setar when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.

The bus then skidded into the guardrail, causing the metal railing to break off and spear the lower deck of the bus before the vehicle came to a stop on its side.

Magenthiran, who was on the upper deck, was thrown out of the bus while Zulkhibri was decapitated by the railing.

Tragic loss: Magenthiran’s father Chandra Sekhara (right) being consoled at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Federal traffic police chief Senior Asst Comm II Datuk Abd Aziz Yusof said the driver and two women, one of whom is seven months pregnant, were sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

“The others were brought to the Gombak police headquarters to have their statements recorded,” he said.

SAC Abd Aziz said initial investigations found that the bus driver, Fauzi Mohammed, 33, had received eight summonses for speeding while Zulkhibri had six summonses and five arrest warrants for the same offence.

“We are investigating the case as reckless driving leading to death under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act,” he said.

Why is this happening again? I don't know... It could be d driver's negligence that caused the life of innocent people. It could also b the condition of d vehicle that causes this. But how could a "mal-functioned" public transport be "let out" !!? I don't know... But wat i know is i m totally saddened by this incident

How To Truly Win Your Battle

This is truly a very inspiring story that is written. Many a times when we are faced with obstacles, sadness, or even sickness, we will keep focusing on "Why Me?" rather than believing that we will win the battle in the end, no matter what situation we are in.

How To Truly Win Your Battle

By: Rebecca Watson

My kind-hearted cousin, Julia Middleton, fought cancer for seven years, fifty chemo treatments, alternative medicines, and tons of hospital bills. Not once did she ever complain—not even a whimper.

Remarkably, she didn’t focus on “Why me?” but rather thanked God for the opportunity to demonstrate His will through her struggle and consistent hope. While her friends and family knew that eventually she would lose her battle to cancer, she instead believed that no matter her situation, she would always “win” the battle in the end because of her strong faith in a loving God and eternal Heaven.

The night before she passed away last week, a huge group of friends and Choir members from her church gathered to serenade her. Although she could not see (she had lost her eyesight and could hardly sit up in a chair), she whispered her last words, “Yah! Fantastic.” Her supportive husband Middy wept in her lap.

I heard a story, below, that reminds me of beautiful Julia. I’m grateful for the permanent impact that her positive attitude has had on my own perspective about living with a joyful heart.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

“Well,” she said. “I think I’ll braid my hair today.” So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

“Hmm,” she said. “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.” So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.

“Ha,” she said. “Today I’m going to wear my hair in a pony tail.” So she did and she had a super fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.

“YEA!” she exclaimed. “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

Ask yourself, "What have I learned from Julia?". Are you still going to focus on "Why Me?" when you wake up one morning to find that you have only 3 pieces of hair on your head? Or are you going to be you own "Julia"?

Secret To Be Successful

Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter asked for a job with a timber merchant, and he got it. His salary was really good and so were the working conditions. For that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.

His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to fell the trees. The first day, the woodcutter brought down 15 trees.

"Congratulations, " the boss said. " Carry on with your work!"

Highly motivated by the words of his boss, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he only could bring 10 trees down. The third day he tried even harder, but he was only able to bring down 7 trees.

Day after day he was bringing lesser number of trees down.

"I must be losing my strength", the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.

"When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" the boss asked.
" Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees..."

That's right. Most of us NEVER update our skills. We think that whatever we have learned is very much enough. But good is not good when better is expected. Sharpening our skills from time to time is the key to success.

The PIG & The COW story

There was once a man who was very rich and very miserly at the same time. The villagers disliked him intensely. One day he said to them, "Either you're jealous of me or you don't understand my love of money-God alone knows. But you dislike me; that much I know. When I die, I won't take anything with me. I will leave it all for others. I will make a will, and I will give everything to charity. Then everyone will be happy."

Even then people mocked and laughed at him. The rich man said to them, "What is the matter with you? Can't you wait a few years to see my money go to charity?"

The villagers didn't believe him. He said, "Do you think I'm immortal? I'll die like everyone else, and then my money will go to charities." He couldn't understand why they didn't believe him.

One day he went for a walk. All of a sudden it started raining heavily, so he took shelter under a tree. Under this tree he saw a pig and a cow. The pig and the cow entered into conversation, and the man overheard what they were saying.

The pig said to the cow, "How is it that everybody appreciates you and nobody appreciates me? When I die, I provide people with bacon, ham and sausage. People can also use my bristles. I give three or four things, whereas you give only one thing: milk. Why do people appreciate you all the time and not me?"

The cow said to the pig, "Look, I give them milk while I'm alive. They see that I am generous with what I have. But you don't give them anything while you're alive. Only after you're dead do you give ham, bacon and so forth. People don't believe in the future; they believe in the present. If you give while you are alive, people will appreciate you. It is quite simple."

From that moment on, the rich man gave all he had to the poor.
