So, what happened during the 12th week??
As much as I was surprised by the doctor claiming that my baby is now 13 weeks old, I am much eager to know what is the development my baby will go through during the 12th week.
During the 12th week, the corpus collosum, the section of the brain connecting the left and right hemispheres, develops.
And during the 13th week, the ultrasound can be used to measure nuchal translucency (thickened section of skin on the back of the neck), evaluate nasal bone, and aid in diagnosis of chromosome abnormalities, and the fetal organs such as gallbladder and urinary bladder imaged.
