Tribute To The Heroes of China's Earthquake

China quake death toll soars past 55,000

This is the latest headline carried in the CNN.com/asia and government officials said that the death toll from the earthquake in China has risen to 55,239 and many injured.

Sadly from this disaster, many have lost their family, home, relatives and friends. However, despite this, people come from all over the place, within hours, to lend helping hands

There are aids coming from everywhere. These are heroes, emerging in time of needs, coming from hundreds of miles away to rescue, to assist, to provide relief, to console, in sun or rain. Some have even walked for hours to reach the disaster stricken area just to lend a hand in the rescue operation

There are also heroes amongst us who willing to sacrifice their life to safe others. Shielding and protecting the young and week from harm, even if it costs their lives.

Yuan Wentin(袁文婷), 26, first grade teacher. When the earthquake struck, she rushed to carry her stunned students from classroom on the 3rd floor to the ground. She managed to pull out most of her students, but the building collapsed when she was trying to pull out the last few. At the last moment of her life, she was trying to use her body to shield the students from falling concrete.
Many teachers did the same thing. They are 谭千秋、张米亚、苟晓超、吴忠洪、杜正香......

Many have survived because of these heroic scarification from these HEROES.

"Be Brave" to all the heroes who have sacrificed and those who are involved in the rescue operation.
This baby, after being buried over 24 hours, miraculously, was rescued unscratched. He is about 3-4 months old, and his mother kneeled down, pinned her head and hands on the ground to shielded him from the falling concrete, and milked him. His mother did not make it out. A rescue worker found his mom’s cell phone in his wrapper. It had a text message left by his mother: “Dear child, if you survive, please remember, Mom loves you forever…”
