The other day when Yvonne suddenly asked me, "what 'sin li jun pey' do we need to deliver our baby?' (meaning what mental and psychological preparation do we need for our little baby to be delivered)
This is actually not uncommon amongst mummy-to-be. With labor looming, the feeling of a bit nervous is unavoidable. You'll be thinking "will i have a safe birth?", "will the labor drag for hours?", "can i handle the pain?", etc... etc... This is especially for first-time-mummy.
What I will say is that GOD has given us this special and precious gift of life that both of us wish for nothing more. Don't worry too much and stressed yourself as stress and anxiety may lead to uterine muscle tension which can make contractions more painful. As a result, labor may not progress as quickly as it might.
Now, lets' look at our little precious and what has he been up to at this time of his life. At 4 pounds 11 ounce and measuring about 40cm from crown to rump, our baby urinates nearly a pint a day. This urine, along with sweat and other fluids from the baby, help to make up the amniotic fluid, and this fluid amazingly replenishes itself every 3 hours.
So don't worry too much and be glad that your little precious baby will be born to the world soon
