And research also shows that violent TV programming was associated with an increased risk for antisocial behavior for boys but not for girls. Neither educational nor nonviolent programming was associated with increased risk for boys or girls.

TV viewing also leads to more aggressive behavior in children because some of what TV teaches may not be the things you want your child to learn. Look at the movies, shows, series and even advertisements shown on our TV these days, they contain more violent than educational.

Children are constantly learning new things from their daily activities and the first 2 years of life are especially important in the growth and development of the child's brain. During this time, children need good, positive interaction with other children and adults. Too much television can negatively affect early brain development. This is especially true at younger ages, when learning to talk and play with others is so important.
I wouldn't recommend that my kid spend too much time in front of a TV.
