When You Are 20 Weeks Pregnant

It is indeed wonderful that we are halfway through Yvonne’s 1st pregnancy, and she has also regained some, not all, of her energy and appetite.

At this stage people will begin to notice that you are pregnant. This is because your uterus pushes your abdomen out at the belly button. pregnant_6.jpg If you have been keeping it quietly, your little secret is out. Unless you are like me going out telling every Tom, Dick and Harry that Yvonne is pregnant as soon as we know about it.. ;p

As your abdomen starts to ’stretch out’, your abdomen may start to itch a bit. It is also possible to hear the baby’s heartbeat now if your partner places his ear against your lower abdomen. You might not be able to hear it right away. If you can, then you are so very lucky, you can go buy lottery hahaaha (hmmm…. this I gotto try hehe). Anyway, if you can’t hear it right away try the other side and you’ll definitely hear a fast, tiny, little rhythmic beat of your baby’s heart. 20-weeks.jpg

Your baby is now 16cm from crown to rump weighing about 10 ounces. Pretty excited knowing that one little life is growing healthy inside her mother’s womb, and coming to meet the world very soon.
